Go Big D!

We are privileged to be "Aunt Deuce" and "Unlce Matthew/Ottomus" to our friends' kiddos. (Side note: Matthew has two names because Abby can't decide what she wants to call him. Funny story, too long to write, no valid point other than its funny. Let's return...) We love these little kiddos as if they were our nephews and nieces. So, we were very excited to hear that Davis (6 years old) was going to start playing Pee Wee Football! Matthew was excited because of his "traumatic" experience growing up where he was not allowed to play football. Everyone, "awwww" with me right now for pitiful Matthew...wha wha whaaaa.

Davis' first game was Saturday and we were so excited to go! It's only pre-season (is that how you write that?!), so the games were only about 20-30 minutes long. But it was awesome! Those little kiddos are so cute in their little uniforms. And I died when I saw the little cheerleaders! It brought back memories! Davis has one kid on his team who ran the ball down the field so far, so fast, and was literally juming over and around the other team to get to the goal! Davis did awesome! He's one of the bigger kids on the team and has the very important job of protecting the quarterback! I don't know what that position is called. LoL! :)

Here's a few shots of the game. They are so cute!

Big D!

Little sister, Abby, excited to cheer Big D on!

The kiddos are so small, but uniforms are so big - you can't see the number once jerseys are tucked in! How cute is Pee Wee Football?! Davis is #81, if you can't tell.

So cute!

Ethan, next Hesselrode football star, watching from the sidelines.

They won a trophy! Why? I don't know! I thought it was pre-season. Oh well, they were excited!!

Good job Big D! We're so proud of you!
