Ya Ya!

Ya Ya will be starting again next week! 

Ya Ya is class that one of my dearest friends, Cyndi, and I started for our Senior High girls in our youth group, and our friend Cristin joined in to solidify the greatest teaching team ever! (Of course, this is all in our heads! LoL!) Ya Ya is a group of girls with one common love for the Lord, striving to improve their friendships and their lives. Our class was designed to bring our girls together in a time when there was a ton of gossip, rumors, and actions that, we feel, were not what a young Christian woman should have. The class was designed to be open and honest about how the girls are feelings, things they are dealing with, in an environment built on trust. We were trying to bring God to the focus of all that we do, think, and feel. Remembering that He is to be the center of our lives and everything falls around Him. Remembering that we are all His children, and therefore sisters. This world is hard enough with all that we, as young (and older, but not old) women, have to deal with. The last thing we need to do is not be a support system to lean on for each other! The class formed a bond with those girls, with themselves and with us, that we didn't have before. All of our hearts still smile when we hear Ya Ya! 

Cyndi, Cristin, and I knew that we had a great time teaching the class and that the girls enjoyed it, but that's where it stopped. Our new Senior girls have asked that the class be started again for this new generation. I'm excited to see what God did with the last Ya Ya group and what He can do with this one!

I'm so excited to have the Ya Ya's again! Its been too long!

Please pray for Cyndi and I as we teach this class again - that we bring God's word into all that we do, that we life Him up, humble ourselves, and that He will speak through us what these girls need to hear. Pray for the girls attending the class - that they will hear what God is trying to tell them, that they be honest, that their relationship grows with God, and that they grow closer to one another so that they have a support system of God-fearing young women to rely on!
